CAT
	CAT noun Abbreviation for 'contrived acronym term'. A name is a CAT when it consists of tortuously implausible letter assignments in an effort to construct a real (or at least pronounceable) word. The name MUD is an archetypal CAT, as are MUG, MUSE and most other MU* derivations. Unsurprisingly, CAT is itself a perfect CAT. Compare CAB.
